Your current choice
Optional analytics stays off until you allow it.
This policy describes information handled when you visit lagoslifebuzz.com or contact LagosLife Buzz. It applies to this independent publication. The official LagosLife game and other linked websites have their own policies.
What happens when you read
The site is hosted through Cloudflare. Delivering pages and protecting the service involves technical request information such as IP addresses, requested addresses, browser information and request times. Cloudflare may process this information for delivery, reliability and security. This basic service processing occurs even when you decline optional analytics.
You do not need a LagosLife Buzz account to read. We do not operate account registration, public comments, an email newsletter sign-up or a checkout on this site. Search works within your browser; the words you enter are not sent to an external search service or analytics.
Optional Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 only when you explicitly allow analytics. Until then, the Google Analytics script is not loaded. If you allow it, Google receives measurement information about your visits, such as page addresses, browser and device information, referral information, interactions and approximate location. It may store analytics cookies, including cookies beginning with _ga, to distinguish visits.
We use these reports to understand which pages readers find useful and how the site is used. We remove query strings and page fragments from the page address supplied to analytics. Google signals and advertising personalization signals are disabled in our site configuration.
Privacy settings
Allowing or declining analytics is your choice. You can reopen Privacy choices from the footer to change it. Declining analytics does not limit access to stories or other site features.
We save your choice in this browser’s local storage for up to 180 days, unless you change it or clear site data sooner. A material change to the choice may require you to choose again. Withdrawing consent stops further analytics collection on this site and removes the site’s first-party Google Analytics cookies. It does not erase data already processed by Google.
Your choice applies to the browser where you made it. A different browser or device, or clearing stored site data, may require a new choice. You can also manage cookies and site storage in your browser settings.
Email and submissions
If you email yoosenjet@luxenastudio.com, we receive your address, message and any details or attachments you choose to include. We use them to handle your inquiry, assess a story tip, investigate a correction or respond to a rights or privacy request. Our email service provider processes messages to deliver and store that correspondence.
Please send only information needed for the request. We keep correspondence while it is needed to address the matter and retain relevant records when necessary for editorial accountability, security or applicable obligations. You can ask us to delete information, subject to records we need to retain for those purposes. Sending an email does not add you to a marketing list.
Links, media, sharing and feeds
Social posts and videos are linked rather than automatically embedded. Locally hosted images do not load a social platform’s widget. When you choose to follow a link to X, Reddit, YouTube, the official game or another website, that service receives your visit under its own privacy practices.
Copy link uses your device’s clipboard when you request it. Share opens your browser’s sharing interface or the service you select. Following a feed lets your chosen reader request our feed and article addresses; its handling of subscriptions and reading activity is governed by that reader’s policies.
Advertising
LagosLife Buzz is not currently serving Google AdSense ads. Advertising technology is not part of the optional analytics choice described here. If our data practices change, we will update this policy and provide the relevant choices before introducing the new processing.
Requests and policy updates
Contact yoosenjet@luxenastudio.com for questions or requests concerning your personal information. Depending on the rules that apply to you, you may have rights to access, correct or delete information, restrict or object to processing, or withdraw consent. We may ask for the information reasonably needed to identify the relevant records and confirm a request.
Service providers may process information in countries other than yours. Their linked policies explain their processing and applicable protections. We update this page when the site’s practices change; the updated date identifies the current version.
