LagosLife has inspired another virtual hometown. In an 18 October Reddit post, u/yourRealKing007 introduced Accra We Dey, a browser game featuring trotro work, phone sales at Circle, Bolt trips and a gossip feed. The author says rush-hour travel becomes slower and more expensive, and calls the project early and rough. [1]

One development confession is especially good: making the first character faces look less frightening was part of the work. The author also describes tackling duplicated money and keeping scams out of chat, then asks what LagosLife does better. [1]

The replies bring the announcement back down to street level. u/jkxney likes the presentation but says they wandered around spending money without knowing what to do. u/Kobbs22 requests kwashey boys. These are individual responses, not a verdict on the whole game. [2] [3]

That is a useful distinction for this growing wave of city simulators: recognisable places can get someone through the door. Giving that person a clear next step is another task.
