LagosLife has reached the stage where a campaign can put wages, flight fares and a cheaper night out on the same poster. On 16 October, the official account called for political-party submissions. Later that day, one player’s six-point manifesto included a Happy Hour promise. Apparently, running a virtual city also means discussing the entertainment budget. [1] [2]
Allow Me Cook has recognition; four more places are open
The official announcement says LagosLife is establishing a party system intended to support primaries before future main elections. At the time of that post, it named Allow Me Cook, or AMC, as the only recognised party. The team plans to choose four further parties from submissions to present candidates alongside AMC. [1]
The requested entry is a party name and manifesto. The post asks participants to use #LagosLife and #LagosLifePolitics, and describes community support through likes and reposts. It gives no closing timestamp, detailed ranking formula or timetable for playable primaries. Those details should not be supplied by guesswork. [1]
Then came the Happy Hour platform
NIYORE, posting as @NIYOREpe4h, presented Adugbo People’s Party, or APP, in a 16 October post. Its programme combines proposals for no tax, more employment, higher pay, better prospects for ordinary players and cheaper flights. Alongside them sits a nightlife plank: lower-cost enjoyment and Happy Hour. [2]
The joke is in the combination. The poster starts with familiar bread-and-butter campaign concerns, then makes sure a night out survives the manifesto-writing process. The travel proposal is similarly personal: getting from one place to another should not leave the player’s account in distress. These are the proposer’s priorities, not rules the developer has accepted. [2]

A pitch is not an election result
This is a fictional-game campaign, and we are covering one public submission without endorsing it. The official announcement does not name winners for the four additional places; we have not verified a subsequent selection result. Nor does the APP poster establish free flights, a tax change, a new venue or a working Happy Hour feature.
For players following the next election, keep the stages separate: a public pitch, official recognition, a candidate contest and an implemented game policy are different events. For everyone watching the community comedy, the useful new detail is already here: LagosLife players are packaging their wish lists as party manifestos, complete with branding and a nightlife budget.
