LagosLife’s City Raids turn a familiar local problem into a shared ten-minute challenge. The official 26 October brief names traffic, market pressure, a beach-party rescue, flooding and a power cut as that week’s themes. Everyone contributes to a city score, while each player has a limited number of attempts. [1]

Read the live countdown before arranging your evening

The announcement lists three daily starts: 1 PM, 7 PM and 9 PM. It does not explicitly print a timezone. Its stated launch scope is Lagos, with Abuja and Port Harcourt mentioned as future additions. Check the current raid panel for the place and countdown before planning a journey from another city. [1]

The named themes belong to the announcement week, so this guide does not guarantee they are today’s selection. If a friend sends a screenshot of “NEPA Took Light”, compare its event name and remaining time with yours before assuming you are joining the same raid.

A short event has several different deadlines

Point in the sequenceWhat the official brief says
Before the eventThe top chip turns red 30 minutes before; Remind me gives a nudge 10 minutes before.
JoiningEntry is allowed until five minutes remain in the ten-minute event.
PlayingUp to eight runs, with the best three counting.
AfterwardsMedals have a three-day claim window.

The scoring rule suggests a useful approach: spend the early attempt understanding the controls, then work on repeating the moves you can perform reliably. That is our strategy suggestion. We have not measured a particular raid’s scoring curve, and eight attempts are not eight separate guaranteed rewards.

Your score and the city result are connected

The announcement says players’ scores add to a city total. Meeting the target leads to Bronze, Silver or Gold medals, with cash, XP and a card; a top player receives an additional MVP bonus. Exact score thresholds and payout amounts are not provided in the post. [1]

After a run, check the score that the panel actually records. A dramatic finish or a funny collision is good clip material, but the visible result is what lets you compare attempts. If the game reports no score, keep that evidence rather than counting it as a personal best.

Remember the last step after the fun part

An event ending and a medal being claimed are separate moments in the official instructions. Before leaving, look for the current result and claim controls, then confirm what the account received. We have not tested whether an unclaimed reward is recovered after the stated window, so do not plan around an assumed grace period.

For a group, the simplest plan is to agree on the same live event, arrive before the entry cutoff and compare results afterwards. That leaves room for the part that makes these challenges entertaining: everybody taking the city’s very ordinary problems much too seriously for ten minutes.
