The LagosLife group chat can become a team with something to show for all that talking. The 27 October crew announcement describes weekly leagues, promotion places, reward chests and a district flag. We have expanded this guide with that full announcement, so the shortcut now has a practical plan behind it. [3]
Start with the people already in your chat
Open a Messages group and choose “Make it a crew”. The official post says to choose a name, colours and a badge. Shalom’s separate explanation says the existing group members join and scoring starts. Tell the group what you are doing before converting a chat everyone shares. [1] [3]
Owners have a separate identity control: the pencil beside the crew name lets them rename it and change its badge. That permission was described for the owner, so an ordinary member should not assume the same pencil will be available on their account. [2]
A league of 30 means 30 crews
The official account describes crews competing in leagues of 30, progressing from Bronze up to Legend. The top five move up each week. This is a league grouping, not a stated limit of 30 people inside your own crew. The announcement does not give a crew-member cap, a relegation rule or the exact points needed for fifth place. [3]
| Activity | What is established |
|---|---|
| Daily tasks | Listed as a source of crew points. |
| Shift bonuses | Listed as a source of crew points. |
| Album sets | Listed as a source of crew points. |
| Raid medals | Listed as a source of crew points. |
The useful starting idea is that ordinary activities can contribute to the shared score. The post does not publish a point value for each activity, so there is no supported calculation here proving that one job or raid is always the fastest route up the table. Check the current crew screen before designing a strict routine. [3]
Who gets the chest?
Results are advertised for Sundays at 8 PM, with a chest of game naira and cards for everyone who scored. The participation wording matters: being on the member list and contributing points are different things. No guaranteed chest amount or rare-card probability is supplied in the announcement. [3]
The published time has no timezone label. Read the current game timer when planning a session, especially if your group is spread across countries. On results day, save the displayed league position and your contribution so you can compare them with the reward message rather than relying on the chat’s memory.
Give the crew one shared goal
The top-scoring crew in a district gets to plant its flag there for the week, according to the announcement. A flag therefore has a stated weekly contest attached; it is not a claim that a crew owns everyone’s houses in that district. [3]
For the first week, a small plan is enough: agree on the name, ask each person to try an activity they already enjoy, and compare the scores shown afterwards. Keep one pinned chat note with the goal and reset information. That gives the group a reason to meet again without turning a relaxed city game into an unpaid shift.
