The group chat keeps moving while you are away. LagosLife’s creator has described three small fixes that make returning less awkward: pinning the people you need, loading large unread backlogs and opening the app a notification actually refers to. [1] [2] [3]

Pin the LagosLife conversation you keep losing

The 10 October instruction is precise: in Messages, hold a chat or group, then choose Pin to top. Shalom said those pinned conversations should stay at the top across phones. Group administrators can also pin important messages inside a group. Pinning a conversation and pinning a message are different actions. [1]

Catch up on unread LagosLife messages

In a later post dated 15 October in Lagos, the creator said conversations with many unread messages should load again. That addresses the backlog problem; it is not a promise that every message-loading error has the same cause. [2]

Let LagosLife shortcuts take you to the right app

Another post that night says Check Hustle should open Hustle directly, while Open on a notification should take you to its corresponding app. The post does not list every notification type. [3]

Try the shortcut you actually received. If it still opens the wrong place, note the notification text, its intended destination and the screen you reached. For a chat problem, record whether it affects one conversation or several. Keep unrelated private messages out of a public screenshot.
