A LagosLife player known online as Vincent The Therapist says a client wanted to keep a consultation inside the game. In a report updated on 9 October, Eko Hot Blog’s Philip Ibitoye describes Vincent’s account of counselling a player and receiving payment in his real-life OPay account. [1]
The article embeds an X post dated 8 October from @mrhighfoster. Its visible text says this was his first client who wanted the whole session to stay on LagosLife instead of moving to WhatsApp, Google Meet or Zoom. Ibitoye also quotes Vincent describing the client as feeling more comfortable behind a game identity. [1]
That is the distinctive turn in this story: someone wanted the conversation to stay in the virtual city. It is a reported account of how one person used the social space. We have not independently verified the session, payment, professional credentials or the client’s experience.
A payment account is separate from a game balance
Receiving money for a service would not establish that Game Naira can be withdrawn. The official terms say the game’s currency cannot be redeemed for real money; permitted gifts between players remain inside LagosLife. [2]
The game’s message policy still matters
The official privacy policy says messages may be stored and processed, including for moderation. It tells users not to assume that direct messages are end-to-end encrypted. A player’s feeling of being hidden does not establish confidentiality or the suitability of game chat for care. [3]
