LagosLife’s Houses menu separates weekly rent from the amount on a Move in button. On 8 October 2026, our existing Yaba character’s Lagos list included six homes, from a ₦1,200-per-week UNILAG hall to a ₦1.5 million-per-week Banana Island mansion. This guide compares those recorded offers so you can read both costs before choosing a home. [1]
All amounts below are game currency. We opened the housing menu and recorded its options; we did not relocate, complete a tenancy payment or test what happens when rent is overdue. Check your own current menu before using an old screenshot as a spending plan.
Where to find LagosLife homes
Open Phone → Houses, then use Homes and the Lagos city selector. Our account’s current residence appeared above the list as Lagos · Yaba, Self-contain, ₦6,000/week, with a Living here badge. The corresponding Yaba choice was unavailable because the character already lived there. [1]
The same screen had separate Invest and Rent tabs, plus PH and Abuja city selectors. This comparison covers the Lagos Homes list only. Those other labels do not establish purchase prices, rental income or the cost of keeping homes in several cities. [1]
Six LagosLife rent options checked on 8 October
| Home | Listed size | Weekly rent | Displayed move-in amount |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hall of Residence · UNILAG, Akoka | 6×6 | ₦1,200 | ₦3,600 |
| Face-me-I-face-you · Mushin | 6×6 | ₦2,400 | ₦7,200 |
| Self-contain · Yaba | Not shown for our current home | ₦6,000 | Not shown: already living here |
| Mini-flat · Lekki Phase 1 | 10×10 | ₦17,000 | ₦51,000 |
| Duplex · Ikoyi | 12×12 | ₦250,000 | ₦750,000 |
| Mansion · Banana Island | 14×14 | ₦1,500,000 | ₦4,500,000 |

The table combines the menu text with two screenshots: the first shows our Yaba home and Mushin; the second shows Lekki, Ikoyi, Banana Island and the UNILAG hall. The size labels are transcribed as shown, without assuming a real-world unit or measuring usable floor space. [1]
Weekly rent and moving cost answer different questions
Weekly rent tells you the recurring amount listed for a home. The Move in amount is the price displayed on the relocation button. For example, the Lekki mini-flat listed ₦17,000/week and Move in ₦51,000. Treating ₦17,000 as the only amount needed to relocate would miss the larger button price. [1]
The screen says a Lagos move involves paying the landlord and agent. It does not provide an itemised split in our capture. Although each of the five visible move-in amounts equals three times its listed weekly rent, that pattern does not establish a universal fee formula. In particular, we have not filled Yaba’s missing move-in price with a calculated guess. [1]
A starting-home amount is not a relocation price
The reader’s character-creation screenshot uses different labels: UNILAG Student · Akoka says Start with ₦14,000, Mushin says ₦76,000, and Yaba says ₦96,000. Those are displayed starting amounts on the Home setup screen. They should not replace the Move in figures in an existing character’s Houses menu. [2]
That setup screenshot also says rent is paid every Saturday. It does not show an actual rent deduction, how a partial first week is charged, or what happens after a missed payment. The LAPO birth card’s loan and weekly repayments are another separate set of figures. [2]
UNILAG housing and becoming a student are separate screens
The hall offer listed ₦3,600 to move in and ₦1,200 weekly rent. Our existing character instead visited UNILAG and paid ₦35,000 to apply for Computer Science, while remaining a Yaba resident. We then attended one lecture. This establishes that our admission route did not require a hall move; it does not establish who can rent a hall or what every student-start route includes. [1] [3]
What to check before a LagosLife move
Read your current residence, the destination’s weekly rent and the button amount together. Keep the recurring rent separate when comparing homes, and read any confirmation before committing. The menu says furniture moves with a Lagos relocation, but we have not tested that transfer or its layout. We also have no observed refund, eviction or rent-proration outcome to promise. [1]
