To enrol at UNILAG in LagosLife, our existing character travelled through Map → UNILAG, opened Senate Building and selected Apply & Matriculate. We chose Computer Science, completed matriculation and attended the first lecture. This walkthrough follows that campus route, starting from an established Yaba account on 7 October 2026. [1] [4] [5]

LagosLife student start or campus application: which route are you using?

The new-character Home screen has a UNILAG Student · Akoka option. In the reader screenshot, it offers a hall bunk, a displayed starting amount of ₦14,000 and rent of ₦1,200 per week. Its description mentions lectures, library TDB, exams and CGPA, from 100L to convocation. [2]

We did not create another character or select that option. Our test began with an existing Yaba resident and used the campus application. The ₦14,000 figure therefore describes the reader’s starting choice; it is not the balance awarded by the enrolment process below.

1. Travel to LagosLife UNILAG from the map

Open Map, choose UNILAG and check the University of Lagos destination in Akoka, Yaba. We selected Go · ₦100. The wallet changed from ₦1,100,400 to ₦1,100,300 as transport began, and we arrived on the campus. The location description says anyone can visit. [1]

A visit gives you a place to explore before applying. The campus introduction names the library, buka and lagoon front as spaces anyone can use. Look for the Senate Building tab to begin the student application, rather than treating arrival alone as enrolment. [1] [4]

2. Open LagosLife Senate Building and choose a course

At Senate Building, Apply & Matriculate displayed ₦35,000 and a seven-second activity. The campus message said this includes the first session’s fees. Before enrolment, Pay School Fees and Check Results on the Portal were locked with instructions to apply at the Senate Building. [4]

Choosing the application opened a course picker. These four visible choices each displayed ₦35,000; their listed degree lengths describe the game’s programme labels, not the time we spent completing this test. [8]

3. Confirm your LagosLife matriculation

We selected Computer Science and let the application activity finish. The Matriculation Day message said the character was now a Computer Science student. We selected Take the oath. The wallet then read ₦1,065,300, exactly ₦35,000 below the pre-application balance. [5]

The new student panel showed 100L, Semester 1, CGPA 0.00, Exam Prep 0 and classes 0/3. Those are the starting counters we observed after admission. The zero CGPA appeared before any exam result, so this screen does not show a failed semester. [5]

4. Complete your first LagosLife lecture

Open Lecture Theatre after matriculation. Attend a Lecture was free and displayed an eleven-second activity. The Evening Tutorial Class listed 4 PM–10 PM daily. Write the Semester Exam showed a fourteen-second activity but required three more lectures or tutorials at this starting point. [6]

We completed Attend a Lecture. Exam prep rose from 0 to 20%, and the class counter changed from 0/3 to 1/3. The panel then asked for two more lectures or tutorials. Our wallet stayed at ₦1,065,300, matching the free lecture listing. [6]

Use those counters to check that the activity counted. One class moved us towards exam eligibility; it did not produce a semester grade. We stopped after this first lecture, before attempting the exam. [6]

5. Check the LagosLife student portal

The Student portal button opened our Computer Science record in the Faculty of Science. It showed 100L of 400L, semester 1 and CGPA 0.00. Under Results, it said No results yet and pointed us towards lectures, library reading and the semester exam at Lecture Theatre. [7]

That is the useful first-session checkpoint: a named course, a student record and an attendance counter that has moved. Further lectures or tutorials are the next visible requirement; this visit does not establish exam grading, promotion to the next level or graduation. [6] [7]

LagosLife UNILAG housing has its own price

The existing character’s Phone → Houses screen separately offered Hall of Residence · UNILAG, Akoka: 6×6, ₦1,200 per week and Move in ₦3,600. We did not use that housing button during enrolment. Treat it as a housing offer, separate from the Senate Building application. [3]

For this campus route, the recorded travel and application deductions totalled ₦35,100. The reader’s ₦14,000 student-start display, the ₦3,600 housing offer and the ₦35,000 visitor application belong to different screens. Check which route you are using before turning those figures into a budget. [1] [2] [3] [5]

If you need a work route before paying the application fee, our first-job walkthrough follows a Tech Intern application and a verified ₦2,550 payout after working for about 15 minutes. For the sign-in screen and basic navigation, use the first-visit guide.
